With a bachelor of commerce specializing in hotel and food management, Mike began his career managing luxury first-class hotels. Over the next 20 years, he built on that experience, extending his expertise to include managing a range of retirement residences, as well as a variety of other innovative properties. Mike has garnered a solid reputation as a respected and ethical operator, earning top ratings from the Ontario Retirement Communities Association.
Now, as Vice-President of Riverstone Retirement Communities, Mike is excited about the opportunity to make a positive difference in people’s lives and offer the same quality of care that his own grandmother once enjoyed. He’s proud to be managing a company that aims to be at the forefront of retirement living in the Ottawa area. It began with Oakpark, then expanded to Bridlewood Trails, Maplewood, Carlingwood and Stirling Park. But it won’t stop there; drawings and plans for future developments are on the horizon. Riverstone, like Mike, is just getting started.
Corinne joined the Riverstone team in January 2009 bringing her knowledge and experience in property management and marketing to their first retirement community - Oakpark.
During the past years she has assumed the position of General Manager filling her residence to capacity and ensuring that her exceptional management team uphold her values of honesty, integrity, compassion and a sincere desire to enrich the lives of all who live here.

Pam began her career volunteering in a retirement residence while she was taking the Social Service Worker program at Algonquin College. She knew right away that she wanted to have a long career working with seniors.
With over 9 years of experience working in a number of positions within the retirement industry, Pam joined the Riverstone Retirement Community team in June 2013 as Marketing Manager at Maplewood Retirement Community, and transfered to Oakpark in October 2015. She is very proud to be part of Riverstone and looks forward to working with the exceptional and knowledgeable team at Oakpark.
Cheryl Gothard is a Registered Nurse with more than 38 years of broad nursing experience behind her. She joined the Riverstone Team in 2012 and assumed the position of Director of Care in February 2013. She has extensive experience in community nursing, geriatric and psychiatric care and her compassionate approach to her position is second to none.
Dignity, respect and maintaining the highest level of independence possible are some of the core values that she believes in. Cheryl is hono ured, along with her warm and friendly staff to be trusted with ensuring your loved ones receive holistic nursing care in a respectful, warm ,and knowledgeable manner.
Miriam trained in and then taught Therapeutic Recreation in New Zealand and has worked in the Seniors industry in Australia, New Zealand and Canada for over 22 years. She has a comprehensive background in caring for people with dementia and knows that when residents have a reason to get up in the morning it creates a change in mindset and often a change in health.
Miriam is also a visual artist and a musician, and loves to use these skills to draw out and give opportunities for residents to explore their creative side and discover new talents.
Samira Nesrallah began her career with Oakpark Retirement Community in August 2008 as the Dining Room Manager and was promoted to Food Services Manager in 2010. She brings a personal background in restaurant and food management and is committed to ensuring that all food production, menu planning, presentation and management of the kitchen and dining rooms remain to high standards.
Samira enjoys interacting with the residents and strives to ensure that the dining experience is positive. She accepts and welcomes feed back from the residents on a regular basis and facilitates a Food Committee Meeting monthly.
Farzana Alizee joined the Riverstone Team in August 2008 for the grand opening of Oakpark Retirement Community. Over the years she has brought her extensive knowledge of administration, accounting, organization and management skills to her position and is a valued and contributing member of the management team.
Farzana's sunny, positive, and caring attitude along with her continuing desire to assist our residents with the highest level of customer service is a trademark of Riverstone Retirement Communities.
As Environmental Services Manager, Denise Custodio is responsible for managing and supervising the laundry, housekeeping and maintenance services at Oakpark. His warm personality and his high attention to detail keeps Oakpark looking it's best! Denise can be seen working throughout the building and ensuring that his department runs smoothly and efficiently to contribute to the overall positive daily experience when living at Oakpark.
Denise oversees tradesmen, and contractors and ensures that daily, weekly, monthly and yearly maintenance and building checks are completed as required to maintain a safe, updated and functioning building.
